Description: Tribes2 map - LakeDance 05/11/2001 Mapname : Lakedance Type : CTF only Filename : lakedance.vl2 Author : [NL]-FareK Email : Tribesmail - [NL]-FareK Botsupport : Yes CTFlimit : 8 Buildtime : 3 days Install : unpack the lakedance.vl2 to your /tribes2/gamedata/base directory and choose the mission from the menu Description : My first try for Tribes 2. The layout is lightly based on the Tribes1 map raindance, i made the area in the middle a little wider then in raindance to compensate for the use of vehicles. Botsupport is more then the standard objectives, Both botteams also place some inventorystations and turrets. i would have made them do even more if the AIobjectivelist would have had more options! I can advice everyone to take at least one bot to let that bot do all the dirty work :) Enjoy, Farek

I like the multitude of bases RIGHT ON!!!!! The snow is cinda weird but i have anidea to the maker of da map. Try to make a map where there is only one base and you walk in and the snow blocks you in and the fight is all underground!!!!!

Hrmm...Way too clutered for my liking. That's just my opinion though. I don't like having so many bases, and the whole damino thing is used too much for my liking. You'll never see a map this complicated played at a competetive level. HOWEVER, I think this would be an EXCELLENT addition to the Necrobones server.

Sorry, I didn't like this as much as the rest. The terrain looks great! The bases are cool. The bots didn't place any turrets for me, though. The flag should probably be in the main stronghold. It's ok all-in-all.

The map has a nice layout. The bridges fit well with the terrain and the islands in the lake are a nice touch. The turrets hardly put up a challenge (besides the sentries by the flag) but I suspect the ld snipers will more than make up for it. The open flag is a plus.

This is an excellent transition from its Raindance counter-part from T1. The terrain is absolutley bueatiful. Keep up the good work.

I absolutly love this map. I really don't know anything else to say that already hasn't been said. The only problem that I have with the map is the UE error whyn I destroied the 2nd enemy generator. Once that is fixed, This will be one of the best maps and shure will be a favorite on every server

I can't praise this map enough! If you liked Raindance in T1 you will love this one as much as I do. The shallow water is way cool.

Diz is really one of the best maps ive ever seen! That [NL] does it stand for Nederland?

Absolutely beautiful start. Yes, start. Turrets never attacked me. Buildings' placement often seems arbitrary. The water needs to be able to hide people, even if for a few second. :-)

Gonna check it out. Out of all of them, this one looks the best. Would be cool to add a little city somewhere in there :) - Mysterion Quendor BBS cneal@geocities.com t2 movie: www.angelfire.com/wa2/jqprogrammerlink/movie/

Very, very, nice. If this is the kind of map that is getting churned out within 1 month of the game's release, imagine the maps in 6 months! Well done.

It's really amazing how many nice icey terrain maps have been churned out in the last little bit. This one fits right in with the other quality snow maps, as it both looks and plays very well. About it being based on Raindance, loosely is your keyword. Does that hurt the map in any way whatsoever? No! I don't think the author intended to make this a cheesy remake of Raindance, and I think it turned out quite well. The base layout is great, especially the strong defense. This is a great map, and you should all give it a try.

Yes, very nice. It would also be nice to see someone actually try to remake Raindance for Tribes2.
