VL2 Creator v0.5
by Sfphinx
|
This is a script that will create your vl2 with the appropriate directory structure for you. It is great
for server sided maps and will work for some client sided maps. I only allow one of just about every file
type to be added at this point (.mis, .ter, .spn, .dif, etc...). Once you have select the files from your
hard drive and click create it will take about 10-60 seconds to processes (depending on file sizes) and then
it will prompt you to download the file.

Wrench: Syntax Check
by cloudboi
|
This is a Torque Engine syntax checker. It is about 98% accurate. You can check any type of file designed
for the Torque Engine, be it a .mis or .cs file. You can do multiple scripts at a time as well. I allow for
3 scripts at a time. It will return which file the error is in, what line number, and where the syntax error
is at one the line specified. Check it out! It is very helpful.

Object Browser
by Bytor
|
Use this pop-up window to browse through all the standard interiors, shapes
and other objects in the map editor. Some of the interiors and objects are
found in the Dynamix Final Map Pack. If you don't have that pack, you won't
be able to use those objects in your map. Get the pack
here.
Thanks go to PJ for spending a considerable
amount of time taking the screenshots for this tool.

Teleporter Script
Sparky
|
This script is meant to make it easy to implement teleporters in your maps. It is
now as easy as adding an inv to a map since this latest version makes the teleporter
a true object. Linking the teleporters is now done automatically and they also are
powered as well as being destructible. The teleporters also have name tags that you
see when you look at them and the name tag can be customized just as with any other
object. Enjoy!

Designed to help "server side" mappers. This package
consists of terrain jpegs plus a .vl2 with MissionBlanks

then jump into the MissionBlanks in-game to view in 3D
before making your final decision. You can even edit without
worrying about overwriting anything. Read the README.
Thanks go out to Zear, Bytor and Panama Jack.

Worldcraft Tools
|
Everything you need to make custom shapes for Tribes 2 in the
Worldcraft editor. I decided to link to Mapper's Extreme's
Tools page instead of directly to the file. They have a great
site and I don't wanna be a bandwidth leech. :)

Nomad
by Bytor
File Size: 32Kb
|
Nomad is a Tribes 2 server monitoring and administration tool for Linux
and Gnome, written in Perl. The name came from mixing up some of the letters from the words
"Monitor" and "Admin".
I wrote Nomad so that I could monitor the player list and scores
on my Linux machine while I was playing Tribes 2 on my Windows machine.
It also has several administration features such as a telnet console
and various dialog boxes to automate common commands such as setting the
join password, sending a message to the players, adding bots, etc. This
program is not intended for mass public consumption. You pretty
much need to be a reasonably skilled Perl programmer to get it installed.
Once it's installed, it is very easy to use.
