Review:
This is one of those maps that just doesn't give a good first impression, but after you play it for a bit, you are hooked. Team combat takes on a different flavor inside this mammoth arena of mayhem. I'm probably going to get flamed for picking this map as the Map of the Week, because the design is so "non-standard", but that's one of the things that makes it stand out. Every one of our playtesters loved this map after a few rounds.

The action is all there, albeit somewhat predictable due to the fact that there isn't much room for creative strategy. There's no place to hide, so it all comes down to flat-out dueling skill. Light defense is absolutely essential to guarding your flag. Mortar spammers can have fun here too, due to the wide open playing field, but their aim had better be true.

My biggest gripe about this map is the inventory station placement ... it's a bit annoying to have to go down to the lowest level of the base to suit up, then jet back up through small holes in the ceiling to get outside where the action is.

Give this one a try folks ... it's lots of fun, and it doesn't require a download so you server admins should have no qualms about adding this one to your lineup.
