Review:
Ever wonder what its like to fight a ctf battle completely underwater? If you have then ocean floor is perfect for you. It takes underwater combat to a new level, and makes me wish there were more submerged levels where the tactics are different and the weapons have new personalities.

A lot of people vote to change the mission from ocean floor the moment they realize its completely underwater and has no vehicle bays. I typically don't because I see ocean floor as a change from the way most missions are fought. Instead of frantically worrying about cratering, light armors can literally fly(swim) forever above the enemy base shooting discs and grenades below, and if they're lucky hit a few people. The difference shows up when you realize their discs travel slower and the only weapons that truly have value in this map are chainguns, grenades, mortars, and the missile launcher. People may scoff and think the missile launcher is useless underwater where there aren't any vehicles to lock onto or heat signatures from players, but I found it fun to be able to fire missiles without a lock at anything I wanted to. Now I admit tactically this might seem useless but taking two shots at inventory stations will blow them up like a knife through melted butter. Taking a couple shots good shots at heavies with the missile launcher will make them fall to their knees. The missile launcher however has a small amount of ammunition so the true tactic of this level is in the wise aiming of grenades and chainguns in order to capture the enemy flag and escape slowly to your base. This is a fun level and I would like to see more completely underwater levels like this that use the creativity of underwater fighting to bring out new aspects of ctf that haven't yet been scratched. Underwater duelling is different from the art of open air duelling, and I think it deserves its credit as being just as difficult and worthwhile. I would suggest people play this if they want to try a slightly different, albeit slightly slower ctf map.
