Review:
It has been said often that simple maps are the best. A simple map would typically be small to medium in size and would have ski-friendly terrain. The flags are more often than not open forcing fast gameplay. No Shelter fits these descriptions and is a fun map designed for teamwork and t1-style speed.

The map is snowy with lots of hills and slopes. The flags are about 1500m apart and are open. The bases come equipped with vehicle pads offering all vehicles. The bases also come with one AA turret above the flag, one turret without a barrel (which I believe was meant to be initially equipped with plasma), one large sensor, and one sentry turret within the base. There are also five inventory stations inside the base. A generator in the basement of the bunker powers all of this.

As mentioned before, the gameplay is fast. There is plenty of room to farm but the availability of bombers offsets this. A decent amount of combat takes place in the middle of the map where flag carriers are returning home…with enemy escort. Teamwork is a plus on this map because a flag carrier will rarely make it back in one piece due to the length between the flags without some kind of support.

The map keeps things simple and manages to keep the fun factor up. Vets of T1 will like the speed while T2 players will like the size and potential for vehicle warfare. No Shelter is a good combination of everything that works past and present.
