Review:
Death to Death, masterminded by Sparky, features one of my favorite aspects of some CTF maps, close proximity.

First of all, I will mention the custom bases are very nice. The internal structure makes it seem bigger than it actually is. In the case of the generators, they are definitely bigger. The terrain between the bases also makes sure there is plenty of cover from sniper fire should a player need it. It is also nice to look at.

This map is neat in that it is very hard to defend your flag. You can set up turrets routinely but you will find them being sniped away by opposing players. In the pickup game, there was a good deal of sniping back and forth. Your best bet towards flag defense is to get a good barrel on the one base defense turret and exchange laser fire with the other team. If they are too busy trying to snipe you, they will leave the defense more or less alone.

With all the sniping I have alluded to, high pingers or people good in heavy might start to look away by now. However, there is plenty of room for heavy offense/rape because the terrain allows you to take advantage of the roof entrance to the bases. Once a heavy gets in there unobserved, you can count on your generators going down. No gens, no sniper rifles (remote invs are a good thing).

Excellent map. It combines all my favorite CTF elements, minimal flag d, no fog, close proximity, beautiful terrain, great base design, into one map.
